Kolkata, August 29: Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has been named in a police case following allegations that conditions imposed by the Calcutta High Court for a Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) foundation day programme were violated in Kolkata.

The case relates to the student wing's foundation day rally held on August 28 at Cathedral Road, where Mamata Banerjee addressed a large gathering of TMC supporters.
